You MUST Read This Article Before Travelling Abroad

Everyone can all agree on one thing. That there’s nothing better than going on holiday to a far away land where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the weather.

Regardless of the great time you have when you’re there, packing, buying essentials and sorting documents before hand can be very stressful. So we’ve comprised 5 travel essentials that you should buy right now, to make your holiday experience that little bit better.

  • A lightweight suitcase

Suitcases are obviously an essential item when travelling… but who wants to drag a big heavy suitcase around with them? Airports are stressful enough at times, without the added concern that your arms are going to drop off because of your super heavy suitcase.

FMS recommends: The Hard Shell Cabin Suitcase

This suitcase starts at just £22, is very lightweight, and very durable. It also comes in a variety of colours and sizes, meaning there will almost definitely be a suitcase suitable for your needs.

  • A travel adaptor

This has been put on the list from personal experience unfortunately. I recommend you buy this now to save yourself the heartbreak of not being able to charge your phone in a foreign country. In a perfect world, all the plug sockets around the world would be the same, but this is far from a perfect world so pick yourself up a plug adaptor using the link below.

Any old listing will do. They’re all inexpensive and do the job nicely.

  • Day bag/backpack

You’ll likely not want to haul your suitcase around with you everywhere, especially if you’re only wanting to carry a bottle of water and sun cream.  It’ll also look a bit weird. So if you haven’t got one already, it might be worth investing in a backpack.

FMS recommends: Dickies Backpack

Not only is it a great price, but it’s also made by Dickies, who are renowned for their amazing quality and good value for money. “This black backpack by Dickies is suitable for both men and women, and looks and works very much like a traditional work bag, with its various secure compartments. Weighing only 1.06 pounds, the backpack is comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and the adjustable shoulder straps ensure a snug fit. Features include a pocket to hold a water bottle, a key clip, and a hydration pocket”

  • Shower and body products

Depending on where you’re staying, you might be greeted with an endless supply of toiletries such as shower gel, soap and shampoo. But this isn’t always the case, so it’s better to be prepared for no complimentary products AND tale the opportunity to buy better quality products than you’d be expecting to receive anyways.
