It was founded by Eleanor Lambert and was first held in 1948 to encourage donations from New York’s high society. Every year the Met Gala returns with well known faces to celebrate the grand opening of its latest exhibition. This year’s exhibition is “Camp: Notes On Fashion”.

The event will be hosted by US Vogue editor and artistic director of Condé Nast, Anna Wintour, as well as Harry Styles, Serena Williams and Lady Gaga.

The Met Gala takes place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The guests will walk down the red carpet and go to a cocktail reception before going to the new exhibition and having a sit-down dinner with live performances.
