This dinosaur was a carnivore and it didn’t live in the jurassic period it actually belong to the Cretaceous period and back when it was alive it was known for have inhabited Asia, this is confirmed as fossils from this dinosaur was found in place like Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan and Alberta.

Velociraptors as a genus of carnivorous theropod, they were small and would be compared to the size of a modern turkey only with a much longer tail. They also have razor sharp teeth this helps them rip though flesh of larger dinosaurs as they were known as pack hunters and could take down dinosaurs much bigger than them.

They also have feet bearing toes with one oversized hooking claw and a long tail to provide counterbalance. However in the movies and shows they do not show accurately what a velociraptor would like, they were known for having feather as it supported by its fossils. This giving it an overall look of a vicious primordial turkey. But due to the scaled velociraptors image being present on Tv many people still believe that what they are supposed to look like.

Velociraptors would live in terrestrial habitats as they lived on average almost 66 million years ago and have the approximate body weight of 45kg. They reproduced by laying eggs and there has been 18 different specimens found by palaeontologist.

These dinosaurs were known for having high intelligence, as they could communicate, and kill  effectively in packs and also protect each other. On a level today they would probably be smarter than rabies but no as smart as cats and dogs.

The first ever velociraptor fossil was discovered on an expedition by American Museum of Natural History. The fossil was found in the Gobi Desert on the 11th August in 1923 and the man who discovered it was called Peter Kaisen.
