Titanoboa

The Titanoboa was a prehistoric giant snake that lived round about 60 million years ago in the Paleogene period, and it lived in hot places and it was believed to live in South Africa. This snake was given the name Titanoboa, due to the fact of it impressive size people believed that the snake grew to 50 feet long which is twice as long as the largest snake in modern day and it believed weight was 2500 pounds on average, this is four times heavy as our modern giant Anaconda.

This massive snake was a carnivore and it is believed to not attack its prey like a normal anaconda, scientist believed that due to the snake size, it was most likely to sneak up on it prey and do a quick strike to the jugular, however like a boa it has the power to constrict its prey however this was unlikely for the snake to do. The snake was believed to have eaten small reptiles and bird however it could easily take out crocodiles if it wanted

This snake was able to travel both on land and in the water, and due to the fact of the humid climate being in the 90s this helped these snakes to grow so big as they thrived in the heat and were very successful hunters.
