The Asiatic Lion

The Asiatic lion is known as the King of the jungle, in the Indian culture the lion is a symbol of power and strength. However they are very supreme hunters and crossing path with carnivores can lead to your death, but what can you expect from this deadly predator they are hired wired to kill and eat.

However these once famous lions that once roamed the whole of Asia and to the Greece. Where they would fight in the arenas. They are now a very small populations and are located in the Air Forest Sanctuary in Gujarat State in the west of India. Sometimes however the lions can wander into near by villages.

This lion can reach up to speeds of 80 kilometres an hour. They have hooked retractable claws, long sharp canines and very good night vision. To knock it prey down the Asiatic lion uses it musels to hit its prey straight on before using it powerful jaw to clamp around it neck.
