During the middle ages surgery was only beginning to flourish, as they discovered mild antiseptic, using things such as wine. They also develop lots of painkillers to help within surgery. Surgeons in the middle ages were able to fix broken bones, and heal wounds. They were the best out carrying out first aid injuries over internal surgery as not much was discovered about the working inside the human body.

Some treatment though out the middle ages were extremely deadly as one was used to cure headaches with was by drilling a hole into your skull. Another method was whipping themselves to please god in order to become better.
