If you’re running your own website, and you get a lot of visitors, you’re probably wondering how you can turn this traffic into money.
One way to do this is by running Google AdSense. Google AdSense is one way of running adverts on your website, you can easily sign up if you already have an existing gmail account. These adverts will be adverts that people pay Google to show, but Google don’t show these ads on their websites; they show them on websites run by people like you, reading this article. Essentially, the ads are placed professionally on your page, showing interesting content for visitors to click on. And these clicks are what, makes you money! The amount of money you make will fluctuate and depend on how many people click on these ads. For example, you could have 30,000 daily visitors who all click on an advert, whilst another website could have over 10,000,000 visitors where not a single person clicks on an advert. 10/10 times you would make more money than the person running this website (from adsense). There are other ways to monetise a site such as sponsorship’s and affiliate programmes, but I’m only talking about AdSense for today.
