Fer-de-lance

The Fer-de-lance is known for being one of the most venomous snakes in the world, and this particular snake belongs to the viper family. This snake is most commonly found in the forests though Latin America and even in the tropics of Asia.

The Fer-de-lance has a triangular head that can be most commonly 1.2 to 2 meters in length. The snake can grown around 4-7 foot long. The snake has its iconic black edged diamonds on its body, the snake tends to be a grey or brown colour.

This snake usual meal is normal mice, small rodents, other snakes and Lizards. However the snake bites is extremely venomous and can be fatal to humans if not treat almost immediately. The Fer-de-lance venom is mainly full of hemotoxins which, is a toicxin that affects the circulatory and nervous system in any animal or human it bites. The snake can inject a large dosage of venom in one go. Luckily, anti-venom for Fer-de-Lance bite has been create, but if you don’t go to hospital fast enough you can die due to such things caused like organ failure and internal bleeding
