Coconut Crab

A fully grown coconut carb can stretch almost to a meter long across. They are located in beaches from the Indian to central Pacific Ocean.

This crab is known for having 10 legs and can grow up-to the side of a puppy, and surprisingly is a simple hermit crab. It is known for being the largest land crab on earth. 

 

This crab have an extreme power in there claws as it can be 80-100 times there own body weight and they can survive falls up-to 4-5 meter high. They are extremely strong and some scientists have almost lost a finger to these crabs. 

The main part of there brain is given to there sense of smell allowing them to sniff out a rotting refuse up-to two kilometres away. They are known as opportunistic hunters.

They are also known as robber crabs if they see something they like they will most likely take it and bring it back to it borrow. 

 

Coconut crabs cannot swim so they will drown very quickly in water.
