The former unified welterweight champion Jarrett Hurd lost his titles to Julian Williams on the 11th May 2019 in a 12 round bout that went the distance with Williams beating Hurd on points via unanimous decisions. Hurd went down in the second round and was clearly beaten by Williams in an unexpected end, A lot of fans thought that Hurd was going to win the bout since he was unbeaten and never looked like losing any fight but, Williams stepped in and won the bout with ease, never went down and never looked like he was going to lose at all. The question is now however… what’s next for Jarrett Hurd?
There are a couple of roots this fighter could go down, the main one is trying to get a fight with Julian Williams for his titles again in a rematch. This could be the root he does end up taking since he will want to have a chance to fight for his titles again as he will believe that he will win the rematch if this fight goes through, however there haven’t been any fight confirmation yet or any news on Jarrett Hurd in a few months, or as we should say… since his loss to Williams a few months back. This fight maybe a good shout for Hurd since he may win his titles back in the rematch.
The other root is, he will fight someone similar to Williams to see if he can win the fight no problem then maybe goes back for the fight with Williams. This could be the path he goes down, but nothing has been confirmed, and since he hasn’t been active in what his options are, it’s hard to tell what this young fighter is going to do next.
