UFC Fight Night Barboza Vs Gaethje
Lightweight contenders Justin Gaethje and Edson Barboza squared off this weekend, as the UFC returned to Philadelphia. The fight started at pace with both competitors exchanging, but it was Gaethje who came away victorious with a stunning first round knock out. Barboza came into the contest as the number siz ranked fighter, so a victory of this calibre is obviously going to move Gaethje further up the rankings. He has made it clear he is here to fight, and as soon as possible as he looks to hasten his run for the belt.
The co main event featured David Branch against Jack Hermansson at 185 lbs (light heavyweight) Hermansson came out the more aggressive of the two and after landing low kicks and punches in the very early part of round one, soon took his opponent to the ground and quickly transitioned into a guillotine choke to score the submission victory inside of one minute
