Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov returns to action this weekend against interim titleholder Dustin Poirier. Poirier took the interim belt whilst Nurmagomedov was away from the action for almost a whole year, arising out of a brawl in Las Vegas after his victory over Conor McGregor. This weekends event takes place in Abu Dhabi and is timed for that local audience, meaning UK viewers will be able to see the fights starting at a very reasonable 7 pm, with US viewers tuning in morning and afternoon!
In the co-main event, Paul Felder meets up again with Edson Barboza and will try and avenge the loss he experienced last time around. Last time, which was about 4 years ago now, this matchup was awarded Fight of the Night, so many are hoping it will be a case of “more of the same!”
