Crawford is wanting to have a mega fight with one of the current champion, so he has a chance at winning more than one title in his division, maybe win the undisputed champion of the world in the welterweight division like he did in the super lightweight championships, currently he owns the WBO world welterweight championship and has fought fighters like Amir Khan recently and beat him in the 6th round. He now has a fight on the 14th December 2019. Unfortunately, it’s not for a title, it’s a title defence!
Terrence Crawford will be going up against the unbeaten fighter known as Egidijus Kavaliauskas for the WBO world welterweight championship in a 12-round bout. Crawford will be the favourite already and will already be high up in a lot of people’s rankings, he is currently the number 1 fighter in the welterweight division alongside Manny Pacquiao. Kavaliauskas has been in 22 fights won 21 with 17 via the way of KO and drew one bout in his most recent bout against Ray Robinson! He has never been in a fight that is longer than 10 rounds of boxing and has been the distance once when he has been fighting up to 10 rounds!
This could be a great fight for Crawford and a great opportunity for Kavaliauskas since he hasn’t had a huge opportunity for a major title and now he has it, he won’t want to ruin it! He will be training hard and try and find out every bad move Crawford does. Crawford’s next fight could be against a champion if he ends up winning this bout!
