Ortiz to Fight Wilder Again!

Luis “King Kong” Ortiz is set to fight one of the hardest hitting fighters in the heavyweight division once again! He is set to fight the Bronze Bomber, Deontay Wilder. These two have been in the ring together once before and the fight was easy to remember.

3rd March 2018, Luis Ortiz fought against Deontay Wilder for the first time, WBC heavyweight championship on the line. Wilder was controlling the fight with Ortiz winning a few rounds, but overall Wilder was winning the fight. Ortiz went down three times in the whole fight, once in round 5 and twice in round 10 before the referee called it quits for him, however he almost knocked Wilder out in the later rounds, hitting him with a hard-right hook! Unfortunately for Ortiz, he lost the bout in the 10th round, however he gets another chance on the 28th September 2019!

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury

Since this bout, Ortiz has gone up against two opponents, Travis Kauffman which he won in the 10th round via KO and Christian Hammer, which he won via points decision. Wilder has gone up against one of the best boxers in the world right now, Tyson Fury and managed to get a draw out of it. Also, against Dominic Breazeale which he won in the first round via KO. Wilder will be the favourite in this bout since he is known as one of the best heavyweight boxers in the division right now!

Ortiz will have to produce something special if he is planning to defeat the champion. Ortiz is record is 31 wins and 1 loss, which that loss was to Wilder. Ortiz will be training extremely hard to fight Wilder and ensure that he beats the Bronze bomber this time round! Can Ortiz cause an upset against Deontay Wilder?
