Logan Paul is a social media sensation that has been blowing up in the past few years, apart from once in one year but other than that he has climbed up the social ladder and has become one of the highest subscribed channel and a lot of people know who he is! He now has a different challenge, he uses to box a while back but stopped to create videos and do something different and continued to stay in shape, however he got called out by KSI and had an amateur fight with him, that ended as a draw!
How did this all happen?
KSI went up against another YouTuber called Joe Weller in the Copper Box Arena and won that fight in the 3rd round via TKO. After he won the fight, he called out Jake and Logan Paul. Logan stepped up and took the challenge and started training for the fight in 3 months! After a year and a bit, there is going to be another fight. No headguards, pro fight, 10oz gloves, the next fight will be at the Stable Center, November 9th!
Opinion and Facts!
Logan Paul has been training day in day out, to ensure that he will knock KSI out and win the fight and continue boxing, however the claims he is making is slightly off and can be achievable, however he believes that he can become the heavyweight champion of the world. Give it a couple more years and gain a lot of weight and get some more training in and then maybe it could happen, since he has only trained for a year, it’ll be hard to win any title with that little training! I don’t think he will be able to win the fight as quickly as he may think, KSI is training hard as well and could put up a big fight!
What does this do to the world of Boxing?
Once MMA came into the world, Boxing took a dip, went down in ratings and down in sales, however the rise of the heavyweight division has changed the sales and viewings but not many fans are going back to the sport, fans decided to stay with MMA and continued to watch this, once these two YouTubers had a fight… the views sky rocketed. A sold-out stadium sold over 1m pay-per-view buys and this was the start of something great. Eddie Hearn knew the opportunity and decided to make both YouTubers Pro and have a professional fight for the first time, this should bring more young fans to the world of boxing and improve sales and views drastically!
