YouTube have gone around each and everyone’s channels and deleted videos that contain an advertisement for cheating! A website called EDUbirdie has been paying YouTubers around the world to promote their site, meaning that students around the world can buy someone to write their essays for them. If a student was caught using this site, it could lead to them having some serious penalties! Both Facebook and Google have been asked to stop making money from these companies! YouTube have already removed over a thousand videos that contain this advert and the BBC has send 850 more examples through! This is a massive issue for YouTube because it looks like YouTubers are getting paid to promote cheating! As of right now, YouTube are trying to remove every video that contains this website or any essay writing website advert off their site. Some ads encourage A-Level students to use Facebook messenger to place orders and have their essays and assignments written for them… in a few hours! This must be stopped!
