An angry driver threw plaster on a female traffic warden, photos show.

Swindon council tweeted the photo a few days ago, which shows the woman with plaster all over her uniform and in her hair.

The picture was released after three traffic wardens in the town were apparently assaulted just last week alone.

In a tweet they said: “We’re sad to report that, this week, our parking wardens have been assaulted three times, one was even covered in plaster.

“We understand that you are using your cars more and need to find parking, but that’s no excuse for dangerous parking or this kind of behaviour.”

Replying to their tweet, someone said: “I hope she is OK, it must have been very distressing.”

Other continued: “Awful. I hope the perpetrators will be prosecuted. Thanks to all the parking wardens for doing their job.”

“This is beyond unacceptable! What is wrong with people?”

We’re not sure what altercation lead up to the woman being covered in plaster, but one can assume it’s because the motorist was parked in an inappropriate manner, and she gave him a ticket as a result of that.

There is a history of traffic wardens being assaulted too, with one suffering a broken shoulder after being attacked by an angry man. It’s not clear if the person behind this attack has received any sort of punishment, but the man who broke the wardens shoulder in 2018 received a 2 week prison sentence for his crime.
