The UK are currently in the verge of being coronavirus free, with only 900 people getting infected every day, it makes sense that the virus is slowly getting better and everyone could be back to normal in no time, however with this in mind, a lot of places will stick to the same rules and regulations until the virus is completely gone since the virus spreads so fast. Covid-19 will be remembered as the worst pandemic in recent years and will be in the history books in the future. The virus that caused everyone to stay at home and work from home if possible, however Health Leaders have asked if the UK is ready for another wave!
With China slowly getting infection rates back up… it’s only normal to assume what could pop back up! The virus is currently getting less and less likely to get in the UK, however Health Leaders are saying the UK must prepare for a second spike since the virus will never be fully gone at all. China was on track to losing the virus, with having only 20 to 30 cases active, however now, they are gaining over 200 cases a day and it’s still rising. Health Care Professionals urge the UK to be prepared for the “real risk” of Covid-19. The second spike is what everyone is fearing at the moment. With the PM Boris Johnson announcing pubs, restaurants, and more are opening on the 4th of July, this could mean more infections and more people contacting Covid-19!
“While the future shape of the pandemic in the UK is hard to predict, the available evidence indicates that local flare-ups are increasingly likely and a second wave a real risk, Many elements of the infrastructure needed to contain the virus are beginning to be put in place, but substantial challenges remain.” This was written in a letter. This could be the worst pandemic in the world if another spike ends up happening and another wave of infections happens, however, a drug is being used to treat the coronavirus patients, and a new level system will determine if it is ok to come out of lockdown or to reengage lockdown!
