A second lockdown in the UK has now happened and is well and truly underway, however, this time around it is slightly different than the other lockdown that happened in March of 2020. This one is only lasting 4 weeks as the other one lasted 6 to 7 months.
This means that everyone must stay at home unless they are working in a care home or any essential shop that is still open, whoever can work from home must work from home, anyone else that is unable to work due to their business being closed due to coronavirus must be on furlough until further notice.
The furlough scheme has been extended due to a second lockdown happening in the UK and this is due to the whole of the UK having over 20,000 cases a day with the restrictions getting eased the first time around. This lockdown could mean that everyone is able to see their family at Christmas and or could be the start of another 6-month long lockdown.
Alongside the new rules… Schools and Colleges are said to stay open throughout this lockdown as education is very important and with nearly a whole year not doing exams, they are needing to keep this open throughout lockdown.
