With the rise in coronavirus cases, the UK has decided to go into full lockdown, meaning everyone must stay at home and only go outside if necessary. Full UK lockdown means every business that is not essential must close and go onto furlough yet again for only 4 weeks unless said otherwise.

Sports however have been said to be staying as events are able to stick to the covid-19 social distancing rule until either a football game and or fight between two fighters, however… 9 times out of 10, most athletes are getting the virus. Alexander Povetkin had to stop his fight due to coronavirus, Thiago has just recently returned to Liverpool training after recovering from coronavirus and some more football players have managed to get in contact with someone with the virus.

Sports for the most part should be called off until further notice as more and more people are getting tested positive each day, either boxers or footballers. Each day more than 20,000 people in the UK get infected with coronavirus and it only takes one footballer to go into training and everyone else in training has the virus.

On the other hand, sports are able to keep to the rules and regulations of the guidelines and still be able to perform with no crowd, meaning they are able to work with the restrictions being put in place and with everyone recovering from the virus… so far, coronavirus to sports is nothing to worry about.
