A young nurse in Russia has been reprimanded for ‘non-compliance with the requirements of medical clothing’.
Her boss spotted the image online.
The nurse, pictured above, was treating male patients in Tula, but was called into the bosses office after they spotting the photo online.
She explained that she didn’t realise she was in violation of any protocols. She also explained that she was too warm wearing her usual uniform underneath the PPE. The PPE was apparently more transparent than she thought too.
The regional health ministry said that “a disciplinary sanction was applied to the nurse of the infectious diseases department who violated (uniform) requirements”.
What her reprimand means for her isn’t fully known, but patients on the ward said that she definitely lifted the mood of some of the patients, and showed a sense of humour regarding the situation.
Russia has had 308,705 infections overall from coronavirus with 2,972 deaths and 85,392 recoveries.
