New research could suggest that muscle aches are an indicator that you have a serious case of the Coronavirus, and that serious responsibility symptoms are likely to show.

Analysis of 53 patients in China showed the potential link.

Megan Coffee, infectious-disease clinician and lead author of the study, told Business Insider they carried out the study to “assist doctors in that first stage to be able to identify who may become sick of the many mild cases”.

It’s useful to know who needs, or even better, who will need treatment, as hospitals are struggling and don’t need to spend time on parents who only display mild symptoms. So identifying who will need future treatment is important because it gives professionals time to prepare.

One doctor said: “Hospitals are just so overstretched that if someone doesn’t immediately need oxygen they may not be able to find a place for them.”

“But they might be able to say, ‘You really need to check back in tomorrow’.”

The main point of this is to lessen the burden on the health service. More updates soon.
