Mike Pence Ignored Mask Guidelines In Hospital Visit

Despite the hospitals own rules and guidelines saying that visitors should wear PPE, Vice President Mike Pence decided to ignore these protective measures on his visit.

It’s been shown that the Vice President Of the United States was the only person to not wear a protective mask on the visit to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Patients, staff, and those visiting were all wearing such PPE; many cannot understand reasonably why he wasn’t. Other officials, such as Food and Drug Administration chief Stephen Hahn, wore the mask with no hesitation.

The Mayo clinic actually tweeted about the the VPs mask refusal, but it was later delete. Pence then went on to say that:

“As vice president of the United States I’m tested for the coronavirus on a regular basis, and everyone who is around me is tested for the coronavirus, and since I don’t have the coronavirus, I thought it’d be a good opportunity for me to be here, to be able to speak to these researchers, these incredible healthcare personnel, and look them in the eye and say ‘thank you.'”

He then went into mention about the cdc guidelines, which actually do state that masks are only helpful in preventing the spread and contraction of the virus for those who actually have it.

But, it does seem that Pence isn’t the only a White House member who doesn’t want to wear face coverings. When announcing that the official American guidance was to wear face coverings in public, President Trump as well ignored similar advice saying: “I’m choosing not to do it.”
