People on Facebook have been getting worried about McDonald’s.

The chain has to ensure it’s safe to do so before opening all stores.

The food chain has recently re opened 39 stores across the uk and Ireland in a sort of test phase, but many members of the UK feel like they’ve been forgotten about, which the company assured them, they haven’t been!

As the company keeps having to explain, the stores opened during this “trial period” are all local/in a near proximity to the head office, chief executive Paul Pomroy explains.

He said in a statement: “To help us test the new procedures and to slowly restart our supply chain, the pilot restaurants in the UK are all located close to our head office and to one of our distribution centres in the south east.

“We wanted to keep this group controlled and to test the impact of reopening multiple restaurants in one area first, instead of spreading ourselves too thinly and to make it easier for our employees and suppliers.

“I promise I have not forgotten about any part of the UK or Ireland.

“We are taking our time to test the new ways of working in our restaurants, ensuring that we can continue to help our teams to work safely, and to get back to the communities we have proudly served for so many years.”

So for now, other parts of the country will have to “bear with,” as the chain told them too previously, because it’s not easy re opening so many stores whilst being safe in time’s like these. And for any employer during a pandemic, the safety of customers and staff is their main priority.
