Police Scotland has declared a “Major Incident” in Glasgow. The incident occurred at approximately 1 pm, and part of the City centre has been lockdown.

There are reports of stabbings and possibly three people are dead and others are being treated, one of which is a police officer.

It has been confirmed that armed response attended the scene and a suspect has been shot. It has not been confirmed if the suspect is deceased.

Police and Nicola Sturgeon have requested that the public avoid the area, they have also confirmed that the incident has been contained and there is no further threat to the general public.
