A Los Angles coroner has finally confirmed that Mac Millers untimely death was due to an overdose on drugs and alcohol.

The 26-year-old, who rose to fame after topping US charts with his debut album in 2011, was found dead at his California home in September. Fentanyl is considered to be the main factor in his death, the same drug the rapper Lil Peep overdosed on back in 2017. Fentanyl is a powerful opioid many times stronger than that of heroin, and many deaths every year are attributed to it. Cocaine is often laced with Fentanyl without the users knowledge which poses a danger to the user if they unknowingly takes too much. Opioids are known to be dangerous when mixed with alcohol, so from a scientific standpoint, the rappers death doesn’t come as a surprise considering the unfortunate cocktail of drugs found in his system.

The tragic event is being ruled as an accidental overdose, and many events are being hosted in honour of the rappers great career along with kind words being shared online.
