A heartwarming twitter post has shown two dogs from the same litter that were separated at birth meeting up again in the park.

Who doesn’t love a nice story about dogs?

When the two dogs saw eachother in the park, as their owners we’re talking, instead of playing with eachother like most dogs would, they seemingly “hugged” eachother, putting their paws around one another.

In a Twitter post, Libby, whos dad is the business partner of one of the dogs owners, shared the adorable photos and wrote: “Pls look at what my dad sent me this morning I cannot even”.

It was a screenshot of the two dogs, and a conversation on WhatsApp from her dad that read: “So, Dave was out walking his dog and there was a couple walking towards him with a white version of his dog.

“Turns out they are brother and sister from the same litter. But instead of just playing like they do with other dogs, look at this.”

The tweet went viral, with nearly 1 million likes at the time of writing and over 150k retweets.

In reaction to the tweets popularity, the post author, Libby said: “I can’t believe how popular it’s become. I put it on Twitter because everyone obviously loves dogs, but I didn’t expect this popularity. It’s crazy.”

Scientifically, it’s up for debate whether dogs from other litters recognise eachother after long periods of time, and just to add, the dogs above hadn’t seen eachother since separated from the house they were born in.

Either way, it’s still a wholesome post, whether the dogs recognised eachother or not!
