Supermarket visits should be taken seriously during the pandemic, because there are a lot of people around you; and you don’t know whether they’re healthy or sick.

So you might want to know how you can stay safe. Look no further!

Tips for staying safe at the shops.

A Doctor has now advised that you don’t wear latex gloves, saying it gives a false sense of security.

Speaking through TikTok, he said: “You’ve got your gloves, you’re at the supermarket, you’re touching things – there you go… germs.

“You keep touching more things throughout same day with these same gloves, germs everywhere. You’re accumulating germs.

“Your glove is now more full of germs than your hand would’ve been if you washed each time.

On top of not wearing gloves, you should also obviously practice social distancing when around other buyers, and you can look at your surroundings for help with this. There are many markers set out to try and prevent contact between customers, so use them!

Covering your mouth with clothing items is also seen as pretty useless; they’re definitely not medical grade materials, so particles will probably have no problem passing through them still.

Don’t go with someone else from your household. Despite the fact there’s no need because it just means more people in a confined space, there’s is a very good chance one of you will get turned away at the door. As two people shopping from the same household has been banned by many places.

We hope this has helped. But remember we aren’t medical advisors. We have just forwarded information found from good sources in the internet! If you have any doubts or want more information, check medical websites or consult a specialist.
