A cat has been rescued from a house it was trapped in for about three weeks after its owner unfortunately passed away.

The RSPCA has said it didn’t know Noel was there, as he wasn’t seen by the inspector when they visited the property in November. The two cats, Sandy and Peach, who the inspector did see, were rescued back in November.

A neighbour called the RSPCA after seeing Noel inside the empty house about three weeks after the inspector visited.

“Poor Noel had been alone in the property for almost a month,” the RSPCA said.

“Luckily he was quick-thinking and had helped himself to bags of food, which were found torn apart.”

Noel was reportedly very “incredibly scared and traumatised” upon their arrival to the house, and following the rescue. But since then, he has been reunited with Sandy and Peach, who are hopefully going to be re-homed together, to avoid them getting split up again.
