Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said he will seek “justice” for those killed on board the plane which was shot down by Iranian military.
57 Canadians unfortunately died when the plane was shot down, and all 170+ passengers and crew on board were also killed. Iran had previously denied allegations they were involved.
“This tragedy should have never occurred, and I want to assure you that you have my full support during this extraordinarily difficult time … you give us purpose to pursue justice and accountability for you,” said Mr Trudeau, addressing a crowd of 2,300 people in a university gym.
“We will not rest until there are answers.”

“We need full clarity on how such a horrific tragedy could have occurred,” Trudeau, who has recently spoken with the Iranian prime minister.
The plane was heading to the Ukranian capital when it was shot down near Tehran last Wednesday, shortly after Iran had launched missiles at two airbases housing US forces in Iraq.
