US air strikes in Somalia over the weekend are reported to have killed 62 Militants associated with al-Shabab. There has been a sharp increase in the number of air strikes since President Trump took office and this was the deadliest weekend of air strikes in since November 2017 when 100 militants were reportedly killed. Although America is scaling back in Africa it seems like Somalia remains firmly on their radar.
