A video has surfaced online showing around 15 men fighting on a beach.
The incident is said to have happened on a beach near Kent, and it happened recently, meaning social distancing protocols were definitely violated.
The overall cause of the fight is unknown, but it happened in front of many families, and thousands of people visited beaches over the bank holiday.
The footage shows multiple people grappling and throwing punches, and after the fight, one person was treated my paramedics.
Onlookers and viewers of the video have given the people involved a lot of stick due to a lack of social distancing, with one live witness saying: “This is what happens when you relax lockdown measures too soon.
“Great to see so much social distancing being adhered to.”
He also said: “We need to raise awareness of it as these lifted measures aren’t great.”
Another witness continued explaining: “It just kicked off. Probably too much booze and sun.”
A Kent Police spokesman said: “We were called at 4.15pm on Monday, May 25, 2020 to a report of an assault on Viking Bay beach in Broadstairs.
“A man was reportedly punched during an argument between two groups of people. No serious injuries were reported. Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police.”
