The Atlanta Braves finally ended their World Series drought thanks to a walk-off win in game 6 of the NLCS on Saturday night. The win sees the Braves in their first World Series since 1999 and comes as sweet revenge for last year’s narrow loss to the Dodgers at the same stage.

The win its self came thanks to Eddie Rosatrios 2 out homer which scored three runs giving them a 4-1 lead. Then a solid performance from the bullpen saw them home. The Dodgers were looking to reach their 4th finals in five years and after a 106 win season were most people’s favourites. However, they couldn’t overcome their mounting injury list. A list that included stars Max Muncy, Justin Turner, Max Scherzer and Clayton Kershaw.
Still, history will forget this and now the Atlanta Braves (who were one of the stars of the 1990s) will hope to get their first Commissioners Trophy since 1996. Can they do it? Well they have only won one of their last six appearances so by the law of averages they are due one.
They will face the Houston Astros in the final.
