Ramon Laureano Does It Again As the Athletics Halt Losing Streak

The Oakland Athletics ended their 4 game skid with an emphatic 13-2 win against Baltimore last night, however, the game will best be remembered for Ramon Laureano’s pin perfect throw to the plate, which is already being likened to last years bullet which many regarded as the throw of the year.

The win moved Oakland on to 7-8 which may be below the heady expectations of some following last years break out, but still a better than their start to 2018 (they were on 4 wins at this stage back then).

As for Baltimore – well they have started better than all but their most optimistic fan would have thought at 5-6, however, they have given up 72 runs in 11 games and sit with a -22 differential. They will need to improve their pitching if they are to avoid falling off as the season progresses.

For anyone who missed it, here’s the video of Laureano’s throw:

And last year’s bullet too for good measure
