NL Championship Series Braves Two Games Up

NL Championship Series Braves Two Games Up

In what all LA Dodgers fans will be hoping is a Deja Vu moment the Atlanta Braves took a 2-0 lead in the NLCS with a narrow win in game two. This is exactly how last years series went with the Braves winning the opening two before eventually losing 4-3. These opening games have been incredibly tight with both being settled with Ninth inning walk-offs.

The Dodgers only have themselves to blame in this one as they failed to take advantage of some sloppy pitching. They held a two-run lead going into the eighth but the Atlanta bullpen held firm and Eddie Rosario clinched is it with a two-out single.

Anyway, LA now has three home games to try and get back into this one.  They will go into game three knowing their chances of making the final are slim if they fall to 0-3. It has only been done once before when in 2004 the Red Sox came back to win 4-3 over the Yankees and they went on to win the World Series.

So now it’s on to game three in Los Angeles for what could end up a bit of a pitchers duel as Walker Buehler & Charlie Morton are listed to lead things off.

Scores so far:

16th October LA Dodgers 2 Atlanta 3

17th October LA Dodgers 4 Atlanta 5
