The Opening game of the 2018 ALCS tonight sees a pitching rematch of last seasons ALDS game 1. In that one; Justin Verlander took the win in a game which saw Chris Sale give up 7 runs. This time both have been on form in the Divisional games, with Verlander striking out 7 in his start as Houston swept Cleveland, while Chris Sale took the win in Game one v the Yankees and even pitched a scoreless inning as a reliever in game 4.
This should be a pitchers duel, however facing such strong rotations even the best will give up runs. We expect the Astros to prevail, but they might drop this one on their way to the World Series.
