One of England’s former prospects could be on his to a newly promoted side! The 29 year old attacking midfielder could be joining a team that not a lot of people will have expected with how well the player played for West Ham United in the Premier League!
The 29-year-old is in talks about signing for a newly promoted side Nottingham Forest. There is a massive rumor about him moving back to West Ham, however, this is not looking likely.
He left United after more than 20 years at the club when his contract expired at the end of June. Lingard has also been linked with a return to West Ham still, however, this is looking less and less likely as time goes on.
Lingard did have a great start to the Premier League at Manchester United, so good that he started his England career with 32 caps before being dropped and his career went down until his West Ham career.
Lingard, who has also held talks with Everton, made 22 appearances for Manchester United last season, but only four of those were starts.
