Gossip Girl is coming back with a 10 series reboot. Details on the cast and release data have not been announced.
The original series starred Blake Lively and was about a group of rich New York teenaes. It was shown between 2007 – 2012 and it was loved by many, you can even find all series on Netflix.
The remake will focus on a brand new cast. The show’s official release reads: ‘Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige series will address just how much social media – and the landscape of New York itself – has changed in the intervening years.’
It will be available for US viewers but it is currently unknown how UK fans will stream the remake…
For US fans it will be going to HBO Max which is a upcoming streaming service by WarnerMedia.
Many fans are taking to Twitter to express their feeling about the original cast not being in the reboot.
Gossip Girl simply would not have been Gossip Girl without Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick, it is an absolute INSULT to cast anyone else as their part.

GossipGirl comes back but if you don’t give me the original casting the attempt will be useless. #GossipGirlreboot pic.twitter.com/wQ2g1pEgIr
