Ed and Lorraine, also known as the Warrens, were one of the best paranormal investigators in America. These two were involved in so many cases that involved paranormal activity! The warrens were considered expects with demonology and the paranormal for over 50 years! The main cases they have been involved in are; The Enfield Haunting, The Perrin Family Haunting, Annabelle, and the Amityville Haunting. These two have made a name for themselves helping people with paranormal problems, that much that even priest and police would ask them to go to places they believed were haunted! There investigations are that iconic, there has been some movies made about them! There has been the Conjuring, the conjuring 2, the nun, Annabelle and many more! A lot of people believe that these two had the power to remove any spirit from any house or anyone! If the Warrens weren’t here to save anyone from these haunting, would there be any survivors?

Ed Warren

Ed Warren was born on the 7th September 1926 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. From a young age, Ed Warren has always wondered about paranormal activity since he believed he lived in a haunted house with his parents. When he was 7, he noticed strange activity’s happening in his and his families house, when he went to tell his father what he experienced he would say “everything that’s happening in this house, must have a reason”, however he would never give a logical reason to why half the stuff was happening! Ed ended up going into the US Navy to fight for his country in world war 2 and served in both the pacific and European Theatres. Once he returned home from this, he married Lorraine straight away and went into demonology and focused his career on paranormal activity!

Right now, Ed Warren isn’t alive. He died due to a heart attack on the 23rd August 2006. He had an amazing journey, doing over 10,000 investigations with his wife and showing the world that paranormal activity happens anywhere and at any time! He will always be remembered as one of Americas best paranormal investigator! Started his career in 1952 as a paranormal investigator and kept going for over 50 years! Once asked the question “do you fear death?” this is what he said… “No, I don’t fear death, not one iota, I know I’ll be going to a beautiful place, a place so spectacular it defies words”.

Lorraine Warren

Lorraine Warren was born on the 31 January 1927 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Lorraine was one of the best paranormal investigators of her time with Ed, and supposedly was able to have visions of what happened in each haunting, meaning she was able to fix any problem within a few days of wondering around the haunted areas. Not many people believed her when she was younger, whenever she mentioned paranormal activity! The only person that believed her was Ed. So that’s one of the main reasons they got married! Ever since they got married they have achieved so much!

Both, Ed and Lorraine, have got a museum that showcases all the haunted stuff they have collected over the years of being paranormal investigated! The best item they have got is the Annabelle doll! At this current moment, there museum is closed forever! No one has any idea why this museum is closed, maybe its cause ed has died? Or is it because an entity is able to leave the museum if someone is to enter it? We will never know… well until Lorraine tells us in the future.

The Amityville Haunting

November 13, 1974, Ronald Defeo burst into a bar to scream his parents have been shot and killed in brutal fashion! Once the police got involved, they discovered 6 members of Defeo’s family, The mother, father and 4 of the 5 children. Everyone started to question Ronald about how this happened and see if theirs anything he knew, he denied anything and said, “he wasn’t home”. After a few days of the police investigating the crime scene, they found a gun in Defeo’s home! Later that day… Defeo confessed! The strange thing about this, no one understands how he could have murdered his entire family with all 6 shots and none of them being heard by anyone nearby! This all happen at 3:15am! So, what really happened here?

After a year, the Lutz family moved into that house. Both George and Kathleen thought that this house was a steal for £80,000. Once they moved in, they didn’t expect to be leaving all of it behind after nearly a month! While the Lutz family was unpacking, a catholic priest was on his way to take a look at the house and see what was going on. Once he arrived he started blessing the house and sprinkling holy water everywhere. He started slowly walking up the stairs and walked into the bedroom. This was the same bedroom that 2 kids that were murdered by Defeo where! Once he sprinkled holy water once, he heard a voice from saying “GET OUT”. The priest didn’t take long to leave that room. Everyone experienced supernatural events that couldn’t be explain, even on the first night! One night, George woke up to his wife levitating off the bed and transformed into a 90-year-old hag!

A team was assembled to get rid of the spirits that haunted this house! Ed and Lorraine warren were called down! Though-out the investigation, the Lutz family would refuse to enter the house due to the fact they couldn’t take it anymore! Ed reportedly got pushed to the floor by an unknown entity and Lorraine was overwhelmed by the sense of demonic pressure within the house! This was one of the worst haunting’s that has ever been recorded in history! The investigation lasted a while! The research team even took a picture of what appears to be a boy looking from the second floor at them! The investigation finished with the Warrens believing that the entities have left the house and left anyone if they possessed anyone! The Lutz family bought that house for £80,000 but sold it for £950,000 in 2010! There hasn’t been any activity recorded since the 1970s.

The Perrin Family/ The Conjuring

December 1970, the Perrin family moved into a home in Harrisville, Rhode Island. They were happy with their purchase since they wanted to have a nice house, out in the countryside with there 5 daughters. The house was believed to be built in 1736 and sat on two hundred aches of land! Apparently, before the Perrin’s moved into there new home, a witch lived here before them! She, allegedly, killed her whole family and hung herself outside on a tree! No one knows why she did this, but this could have had something to do with the haunting’s happening within this house, but that’s not what researchers think!

Once they moved in, they started to experience a lot of strange activity, one of there daughters started hearing a voice of a boy that was killed in the house! Bathsheba Sherman was the name of the witch that haunted that house, there is no real evidence suggesting that she was a witch, but locals believed she was. On the movie, they say she died by hanging herself, however in reality no one really knows, some people say she turned to stones, others say she died from “Bizarre form of paralysis”. The mother started getting bruised from all the spirits haunting them. They ended up asking for help!

When the warrens were called, they had no idea what they were in for! They ended up seeing a lot of paranormal figures, one was believed to be inside the mother! This was a huge problem, if she takes control then the family could be in danger since the witch allegedly killed her family and could of tired to do the same with there family! This is exactly what almost happened! Ed managed to get the demon out of her and the Perrin’s couldn’t be more grateful! This was one of the hardest to solve cases that the warrens were involved in, apart from the Enfield Haunting, Link will be here to that article! The Enfield Haunting!

Annabelle

Annabelle is about a doll that was moving and haunting a single mother and her daughter! Sometime in the 1970s, someone bought a doll for her daughter to surprise her, but the doll they got had a demonic presence inside the doll! Kind of like Chucky in a sense. This doll wasn’t a problem when they first got it, but after a while, they noticed how the doll has moved from one place to another and holding objects they didn’t expect a doll to hold. The doll was allegedly the most haunted object in history, since this doll was able to move around and was seen move by the mother, also there was a moment when someone was holding the doll and the dolls head moved slowly around! At this point they called The Warrens!

The warrens were able to notice that there was a demonic presence inside the doll straight away and got the doll recorded on there camera! They tried to get rid of the spirit, but nothing ended up working! They ended up placing the doll their basement and trapping it in a glass container. Apparently, The Warrens have seen the doll move inside the glass frame! People were able to visit their museum to see the doll but right now its closed for some reason.

Conclusion

The Warrens will and always be remembered as one of the best paranormal team ever! They have been apart of 10,000 cases and solved every single one! Unfortunately, Ed isn’t alive anymore, he died by having a heart attack, but at least he died knowing he helped thousands of people with there paranormal problems. In my opinion, The Warrens worst case is the Amityville haunting because there was a lot of information and a lot of paranormal activity that happened! Lets hope we have no more cases like these ever!
