Many people think they are part of a the panda family which they are not, they used to also be part of the racoon family. However that has changed as they are now part of their own family all together. The red panda are very territorial animals and to mark their territory they wipe rub there rear end against the tree or ground. This is what males mostly do rather than the females.
The red panda is equipped with long razor sharp claws and teeth. It is also known to release a strong smell like s skunk when threatened. It also has a sweet tooth and is the only non-primal that can taste artificial sweeteners.
