Aphrodite is mostly known as the Goddess of beauty but she is also the Goddess of desire and love. She was the one of twelve Olympian gods who lived in Mint Olympus. She is famous for being the most beautiful out of all goddesses. She even won a contest to prove she was.
She is linked to Venus due to the Romans linking that to the planet of beauty and love. Zeus married Aphrodite to Hephaestus as he wasn’t seen as a threat because of his ugliness and deformity. However despite this marriage Aphrodite had many lovers, her lovers include both gods and men. This involves Ares God of war and the mortal Anchises.
