Wilder Survives Scare!

Deontay Wilder went up against former challenger Luis Ortiz for the WBC world heavyweight championship and a lot of fans of the sport thought Luis Ortiz would have a great chance of winning the next fight, due to him almost knocking out the bronze bomber last time out, however he survived less rounds than the last fight, however the judges had more to say about the fighter than Wilder. Wilder ended up winning the fight via KO in the 6th round and has proved to be one of the best heavyweight boxers in the division.

Luis Ortiz is known for causing upsets and he almost caused the biggest one of them all on the 3rd March 2018 when he almost knocked out Deontay Wilder, however Wilder managed to hold on and knockout Luis Ortiz in the 10th round, retaining the title and stopping one of the biggest upsets from happening, however this time round, Luis Ortiz managed to outbox Wilder in his own game and in his own backyard and almost caused another upset against Wilder however Wilder managed to beat Ortiz in the 7th round via KO. The judges on the other hand didn’t think Wilder was winning any of the rounds at all.

Each referee scored the bout in favour of Luis Ortiz, meaning Ortiz could of been named the new WBC world heavyweight champion if he continued to outbox Deontay Wilder and continued his run of form, however Wilder has one of the hardest hits in the world, after his right hook, everyone knew that Wilder won the fight. There is only one thing left for Wilder to do… Face Tyson Fury and prove that he can beat great fighters such as him!
