UFC Fight Night Blachowicz Vs Jacare – Results

The UFC moved back to Brazil this past weekend, with a headline event of light heavyweight mainstay Jan Blchowicz up against former middleweight contender Jacare Souza – marking Jacare’s first outing at 205lbs.  It turned out to be a fairly well matched fight, but it was Blachowicz who came out victorious with a split decision

Co-main event of the evening featured Mauricio Shogun Rua against Scotlands Paul Craig.  Craig took the fight on short notice, standing in for the injured Sam Alvey.  This one will never go down in history as one of the best fights ever, and few would disagree that the Split Draw was probably the fairest outcome.  No winner, no loser – although Craig made a point of stating post fight that he was disappointed in his performance and vowed to do better next time out.

We now have a bit of a break in UFC events, with the next not being until December 8th
