WBC to Ban New Drug!

With the rise of new boxers and new substances found in a lot of fighters bodies, there is no secret that some substances are banned and others are not, some have been found and then banned straight after, there are always world class boxers taking drugs but others aren’t banned and this one drug could be banned by the WBC board since it could help a fighter to win any bout. Some great fighters have been found with substances in their bodies and still able to fight but now if they find this substance, they will take action and won’t allow them to fight!

The substance that is getting banned is clenbuterol. Clenbuterol is a steroid like chemical that was originally created to treat asthma and it is not a human drug and or should be consumed. It’s known as a steroid like chemical! On Thursday the WBC announced that this drug will be banned and won’t allow the fighter that has been tested positive for it to fight at all. This new rule will change the world of boxing forever and make sure that no fighters ever take drugs at all, since it is a huge advantage on the other opponent.

Most notable fighter that has had been caught with clenbuterol in his body is the Mexican fighter known as Canelo. Saul Alavrez was tested positive twice for clenbuterol in his lead up to the highly anticipated middleweight title fight against Gennadiy Golovkin. Canelo did get suspended for six months but the bout was rescheduled for September. Alavrez claimed it was contaminated beef. The WBC will now enforce this rule and take this seriously!
