Usyk Beats Chisora!

Usyk Beats Chisora!

Former Cruiserweight champion of the world Oleksandr Usyk went up against former world heavyweight challenger Dereck Chisora in a fight to see if Usyk is cut out for the heavyweight division as he is wanting to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, just like he did in the cruiserweight division. Chisora was the first major heavyweight opponent he faced and managed to win the fight via unanimous decision. All three judges scored Usyk ahead, however, the fight for some other people seemed different.

Some fans of boxing seem to think that Usyk may not have won the fight, however, others seem to think he did. Chisora was on the offensive, attacking Usyk each round with some scoring blows and some incredible punches, however, Usyk didn’t do well until the later rounds. Some people predicted a KO for Chisora as he nearly KOed his last 3 opponents. Beat David Price and Artur Szpilka via KO. What does that mean for Usyk?

After this fight, Usyk is still the mandatory challenger to fight Anthony Joshua for the WBA world heavyweight championship, however, Joshua is currently needing to face Pulve and wants to fight Tyson Fury for the WBC world heavyweight championship, to secure all the titles and show he is the best heavyweight but now he must fight Usyk or get rid of the title Usyk is mandatory for.

Chisora on the other hand will be working on his technique for his return to the ring and try to perfect boxing as he lost to a former cruiserweight that he would have thought he would knockout. Chisora has versed some big names but against Usyk he was different and could get one last chance at fighting a world champion in the future.
