The world of boxing was about to see another fight from Alexander Povetkin and Dillian Whyte, this fight was a follow up to the last fight they had which ended with Povetkin winning via KO. A great fight would of been on the card, but now the world of boxing will have to wait for this.
Alexander Povetkin has tested positive for coronavirus and will now have to wait for his rematch with Whyte. They are trying to get this right to happen in January of 2021 or later. Depending on the recovery time for Alexander Povetkin.
This could be great for Anthony Joshua as he is wanting to fight Fury before Whyte or Povetkin get a chance to fight the world champion. But everyone will hope Povetkin will recover sooner rather than later as it’s reported he is in hospital with the virus.
A sad time for boxing fans but Povetkin will most likely be able to recover from this but all hearts will towards him and hopefully his speedy recovery.
