The UFC events have been coming thick and fast in 2021, so here is q quick round up from the last couple of weeks
UFC257
Of course, for most people the biggest news has been the return to action of Conor McGregor, in his second meet up with Dustin Poirier. Both are different fighters since that meeting in 2014, with Poirier continuing to improve and develop his skill set; and with McGregor having some extended time away from the sport, but seemingly still developing his superstar status. Whilst the fight ended before most would have liked, McGregor’s time away didn’t disgrace him and most gave him the first round, and started well into the second. However, Poirier stuck to his game plan and ended McGregor’s comeback with a massive right hook which sent him crumbling to the canvas. So, Poirier marches on, and McGregor says he intends to continue, so both should have some excellent match up’s ahead
