Former middleweight champion Chris Weidman moved up to 205 lbs to face off against undefeated Dominick Reyes, when the UFC returned to Boston this past weekend. Reyes continued with his win streak with a decisive first round victory over Weidman, winning by a knock out in under 2 minutes. Reyes is now eyeing a title shot for him against Jon Jones
The co-main event featured the re-run between Yair Rodriguez against Jeremy Stephens, following the end of their first meet up which was stopped due to an inadvertent eye poke. This one went the distance, but it was Rodriguez who came away with the win by way of a unanimous decision. Throughout Rodriguez did seem to take control and there can be no doubt over the outcome
The fight between Greg Hardy and Ben Sosoli was eventually ruled a no-contest, due to Hardy taking some of his asthma inhaler during the fight, which is not permitted. He had won the fight, but the NC decision overruled it after the event
