UFC Fight Night – Askren Vs Maia
The Octagon moves to Singapore this weekend, the fourth time the promotion has hosted an event there. The main event is the headline battle between Ben Askren and Demian Maia, at welterweight 170 lbs. Long time favourite Maia may well have the better of the two if you look at his 21 victories with the UFC, however Askren is likely to be hungry as he bounces back from his first even defeat. The winner of this interesting match up puts themselves into prime position to be number one title contender
In the co-main event Michael Johnson returns to lightweight to meet up with Stevie Ray. This is Johnsons first fight at lightweight since 2017, following a spell at featherweight. Ray has a well established and experienced record and will be hoping to move himself up the rankings towards a title challenge
