Germaine de Randamie and Aspen Ladd headlined the UFC’s return to Sacramento this past weekend, featuring a main event bantamweight contest between them. The hard-hitting de Randamie came out victorious, scoring a TKO in the very first round. This should surely lead to a title shot before the end of the year.
The co-main event, featuring Sacramento’s own Uriah Faber returning to action against Ricky Simon was over almost as quickly as the main event, with Faber getting a TKO victory after just 46 seconds. Many had thought Faber had seen the best days of his career, but this impressive performance leaves the door open to bigger and better fights for him later in the summer, or towards to end of the year.
